What is FUSE: Collaborations in Song?

A co-production of Catalyst New Music and Boston Singers’ Resource, FUSE is a unique opportunity for artists and audiences alike to experience the power of human creativity and connection through song.

Since its launch in 2023, FUSE has provided meaningful opportunities for composers, poets, and singers and has sparked the creation of 20 beautiful and compelling new song cycles.

How does FUSE work?

The process: We assemble five teams of artists (each comprising of a singer, composer, and poet) to explore themes of mutual interest and, over the period of several months, develop a brand new song cycle together.

The result: Our community enjoys the world premieres of five meaningful new song cycles that are tailor-made for the singers who will perform them!

Is FUSE for me?

YES! Because there is so much variety at each FUSE concert, there will be much you will enjoy. You never know what our amazing teams of artists will come up with!

Come prepared to be delighted and transformed by powerful poetry, music, and performances that have never been seen or heard before.

You can be fancy or come as casually as you like, and join us for a reception afterwards to tell us which songs were your favorite!
